Midlothian M.S. Becomes "We the People" State Champs
At statewide competition for We the People on Feb. 5, Midlothian Middle won first place in the middle school division. We the People is a government and civics program that helps students understand the history and principles of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Social studies teacher Manuel Rios coaches the Midlothian Middle team, which works after school to research answers to questions such as “What is a federal system of government and how does it compare with a unitary or a confederational system of government?”
